The Phoenix

My digital homes over the years have been almost as varied as my physical ones.

For a long time, I pretended to be a photographer. I have some friends that were truly passionate about their craft, going on to win awards for their digital media with both still photos and through film. Like, Discovery Channel award winning. I’d build an online portfolio every few years that I was proud of, then realized it would come to nothing. I still enjoying making photos.

Writing has long been my passion. I received my first rejection letter in 4th or 5th grade. Maybe they didn’t like my hand-drawn book cover. My online presence for the last few years has been focused on the written word. To paraphrase a quote from the late Terry Pratchett, maybe one day I’ll get accused of literature.

I currently have two book projects underway, both taking me in quite different directions as a writer. And because I can’t possibly focus on actually finishing what I start, there’s initial ideas knocking around for a third. Which is also rather different.

This blog is unlikely to win any awards I’d be proud of. But, I’ll try to occasionally share updates on some of the my upcoming projects. When I’m not planning on what else I can leave as a half-finished manuscript, of course.
